How it works

Here are a few things to know before we get started.

We arrange for an initial consultation. At our first meeting, I will take your measurements. You can bring pictures*, a pattern or a rough sketch of the garment you want. I can also sketch a design from a description you give.

We arrange to get fabric. You can have your pre-chosen fabric** or view an assortment of fabric swatches(various colors and textures) of what you think you might like to have. I can consult with you on what fabrics best suit the style of the garment you would like made. Once the fabric is obtained, I start working on the garment and schedule an initial fitting.

Your fitting appointment. At your fitting appointment, please bring the appropriate undergarments for your dress. If the dress fits well at the first fitting and you do not need any design changes, I work to complete it for pick up or delivery.

This entire process usually takes about eight weeks or longer if there is any intricate work to be done.

*Please note: if you bring a picture you should be aware of the body shape of the model wearing the dress vs. your body type.

**Please note: the fabric needs to be appropriate for the style of the garment you want.
